I was called to work on this horse following four years of conventional treatment for chronic founder. What I found when I got there was typical of those horses that have been mismanaged time and time again. X-rays were taken and used to determine sole depth, and the current state of bone health. The Internal Arch structures were evaluated and then Robyn and I worked to balance the foot, and remove as much of the necrotic tissue as possible. Hoof testers were used throughout the process. We then applied the HPT Method tm and the Perfect Hoof Wear System tm. Eclipse wash and cream were used, and recommended as a follow-up. The pictures speak for themselves, but the owner did not hesitate to add her own thoughts. Here is what she had to say in her last email. "Real quick one... he was fantastic today! I’d say he’s a 3 again overall, he was incredible... passage, extended trot, canter (not so pretty), even a bit of a gallop, bucking.... UNBELIEVABLE! " SP remains a very guarded case, one that can go either way. We are encouraged that progress has been steady, and any set backs have been predictable. Because he is a young horse, with loads of heart we are hopeful that in the very near future he will start under saddle, and face a bright future. We can only hope for the best! June, 2008 update: SP continues to improve, and has begun ground work. Here are some more great testimonials!
I
rode my horse today in the sand ring - (vs. bluestone due to the PHW)
was amazed that sand didn't get all jammed up in the heel area so
that worked well....but mostly amazed at the fun ride we had. Prior
to this, I never felt my horse was comfortable even though not
overtly sore, he was less than enthusiastic much of the time about
being very forward...always trying to go back down to walk from
trot, and I always got the feeling he was thinking, "Are we done
yet?" He tripped several times a ride before - didn't trip once
today. We spent the better part of a year trying to keep a shoe on my reigning mare. I have been unable to put her into training since April of 2007. I was really hesitant to have her shoes pulled and replaced with PHW, but we did. She was immediately comfortable and in just four weeks she grew an unbelievable inch of hoof wall. She is now back in work. "Unbelievable" Ryan Gingerich, Trainer, Ms. Am I excited, I can't believe I could get more excited by this Fantastic Product!!! the change that the PHWS has achieved in one application is nothing short of a miracle. My horse had a terrible foot when he came out of shoes, with flare to shovel snow and seedy toe that took over 2 years to get rid of. He has never had heels, he has never had concavity, now he has BOTH! Susan & Flynn, UK After just four weeks my horse Scoot had over a quarter inch of new growth all around, which for a horse that took nearly four months to grow his nail holes out is amazing!! J. Anderson, NV After just one application my horse is moving more freely, he is using muscles he never did before. It is fantastic. Molly & Reese, Fl. My mare has been foundered for the past two years, she had been on and off lame and getting worse. Immediately after the first application of the Perfect Hoof Wear she moved comfortably, nearly sound! This product is fantastic, is there stock available in the company? Rusty, Fl. My horse was diagnosed with navicular disease, the vets suggested nerving. PHW has spared her that experience, she is sound! T. Hobbs, MD. Our horse has been on and off lame for several years. We have tried everything short of MRI. Last night was his first application of the PHWS, this morning he looked great. His attitude is better and he played with his ball in the arena. Not 100% sound, but pretty darn close to it. Thanks for a great product. M. Boso, IL. Put on my final stock of the fantastic PHWS on a lovely little Fjord today. He has been out of shoes for the last 8 weeks, but due to poor environment, excessive rain, and lots of damage to the foot he has not been coping well. Enter the PHWS, and two applications later, and he was trotting sound over grass, tarmac, tracks, and even a patch of hardcore! Simply Amazing! T. Mockford, UK Update, Noffi the Fjord had his PHWS applied Sunday, was schooled in-hand on Monday, ridden in the school on Tuesday, and today hacked out for a trail ride and the only problem was his canter was to forward going! T. Mockford, UK Our mare Pizza has had a persistent quarter crack for over a year, and in just four weeks it has begun to heal. It has grown down almost a half inch. Awesome. Christine M. FL. We recently rescued a 17 hd., 1800 lb. draft horse with terrible hooves. He had a huge blowout at the coronary band from an abscess in his left front foot. We had the PHWS applied, and in just eight weeks the blowout has grown nearly a third of the way down the hoof! Amazing. Doug M. FL.
